They also appear as a result of old age when your veins lose elasticity, the result is the veins becoming enlarged and varicose.

Even being exposed to the sun light can cause the veins to appear! The harmful sun rays cause varicose veins to appear on your face. Genetics is a factor too, if your family has a history of varicose veins, then you also have a risk of getting them.

By using proper sun protection, keeping your body weight down, keeping up a healthy diet, and exercise regularly, you might be able to keep varicose veins at bay.
