Are you planning a Florida vacation? Whether you are searching for thrills, rest or romance there are many places to find it in the sunshine state. Regardless of the season there is always something to do. Here are just a few places to visit.

Disney World

If you and your family have never experienced Disney World then you are really missing out. You should definitely put this experience on your bucket list. Disney Worlds sits on 25,000 acres in central Florida and it offers 4 theme parks, 24 hotels, 2 water parks, health spas and 5 golf courses. Downtown Disney is a great destination to get your shopping on. Once you arrive on Disney property you never really have a need to leave. You can spend a week keeping busy with all of the things to do. You will not run out of fund things to do. If you are seeking thrills there are several roller coaster rides and fun rides in the water parks. If your idea of a vacation is relaxing you can do that very easily. Just sit poolside at one of the resorts with your favorite book and beverage.

Busch Gardens

About an hour away from Disney World in Tampa, Florida is the exciting African themed park of Busch Gardens. The big attraction to this park is all of the wildlife. Kids get a chance to see wild animals such as gorillas, giraffes, elephants, hippos, rhinos, zebra, tigers and lions up close. There are over 2,700 animals at Busch Gardens making it one of America's largest zoological institutions. Thrill seekers are also in luck as there are many adrenaline pumping roller coasters to enjoy. If you need a thrill make your way to Montu, Kumba, Scorpion, Gwazi or Sheikra roller coasters. On a hot day you can cool yourself off by going on one of the water rides - Congo River Rapids, Tanganyika or Stanley Falls.

Universal Studios Orlando

This movie themed resort is great for anyone seeking a long weekend full of excitement. There are 2 theme parks to enjoy, Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. These parks are packed with 4-D attractions, water rides and thrilling coasters. Citywalk provides a break from the excitement with shopping, dining, live music, and nightclubs. Visitors can stay on site at one of Universal's three luxury hotels. A vacation here will undoubtedly be one to remember.

Relax on Siesta Key beach

If theme parks are not your cup of tea then make your way to Siesta Key beach. This fun and relaxing 8 mile long barrier island is located off the coast of Sarasota and on the west coast of Florida. People from all over the world visit Siesta Key to play in the sand, swim in the Gulf of Mexico and lounge around catching rays. Be sure to visit Siesta Key Village where you can enjoy a meal and/or drinks with your family or friends. You can stay as busy as you want on Siesta Key or if you prefer do absolutely nothing. That is the beauty of a vacation here. You won't feel the pressure of having to do anything. It is a wonderful place to spend a week and just unwind.

Ichetucknee Springs State Park

You many need to cool off from all of the theme park activities. If so, take a drive north to the Ichetucknee Springs State Park. This is a 6 mile long river where the water is clear and a refreshing 72 degrees. It is fun and relaxing to jump in the river in a tube and float under the hammock trees. On a hot summer day it is very refreshing to float down the river and enjoy the scenery and wildlife.

Everglades National Park

This 1.5 million acre park is a protected portion of the largest subtropical wilderness in the U.S. These wetlands are home to 350 species of birds, 40 species of mammals, and 50 species of reptiles. Visitors can explore this natural wonderland on foot, by car, canoe, kayak, or bike. The up-close experience here is any nature enthusiast's dream.
