Best Hemorrhoid Cures

When you are suffering from hemorrhoids, you want to get fast relief, as you don't want this condition disrupting your life. The really excellent news is that most conditions are not tough to get a handle on and keep under control.

Increasing the amount of water you drink is a simple but very effective treatment for hemorrhoids. This is because water helps flush out your body, allowing you to have softer and more regular bowel movements. Dehydration leads often to constipation which contributes to the hemorrhoid problem. Pure fruit and vegetable juices can also help keep you hydrated, though water is still very important. Getting a juicer is probably a good idea. Fiber helps to keep you regular and prevent hemorrhoids, and fruit and vegetable juices provide this as well as hydration. Water, however, is the most important substance you can ingest.

If you are looking for a simple, completely natural hemorrhoids treatment, you should try garlic. Powerful healing and anti-inflammatory properties can be found in garlic. Garlic can be taken in many different ways. Garlic capsules are often easier than eating it in foods. These are far more concentrated and you don't have to worry about garlic breath. Another option is applying the garlic externally to hemorrhoids in order to reduce swelling and pain. By placing a teaspoon of crushed garlic on a square gauze you can make a garlic compress. Apply this compress to the anal area for about ten to fifteen minutes to destroy harmful bacteria and reduce inflammation.

For many cases, over the counter medications sold at the pharmacy are effective for treating hemorrhoids. The wide variety of treatments include medicinal, herbal and homeopathic. The soothing effects of petroleum jelly is possibly the simplest remedy. You may end up trying many different medications before you find one that give you the relief you so desperately need. There are advantages to using OTC remedies. Don't expect the OTC medications to work instantly.

Laser treatment for severe hemorrhoids is available, but that will only be recommended if nothing else will work. As you can imagine, it's really only for the most severe cases of this condition. After all that suffering, when this procedure is done it is extremely short, lasting about fifteen minutes, and the recovery time is usually about one day. This is a highly effective treatment, but this is an advanced medical procedure, so it's expensive, though if you have a good insurance policy this will probably cover it. Nothing wrong with bringing it up with your doctor, but you may discover your doctor won't recommend it until much later after all else has failed to produce positive results.

There is a range of treatments available for hemorrhoids including traditional, alternative, and even surgical. If you think you need to see your doctor, then by all means do so; and you can discuss the situation and develop a plan of attack. As you begin the road to comfort and health, it's important to assess your habits and lifestyle to try to prevent and manage future issues.

I wrote this summary about hemorrhoids since it's health related, and while pondering a career in the pharmacy technicians arena, I authored a post about pharmaceutical companies you'll find very worthwhile.
